Great photo and I also love the postcard at the bottom of the "Famous Hairpin" turn. My mother always used to mention the famous hairpin curve; I didn't realize that "famous" referred to what the turn is actually billed, if I remember, on the road sign leading up to it. Anyway, it lives in my imagination.
It's a great Sunday afternoon ride. From Amherst, a nice way to go would be 9 west to 112 north to 2 west. A couple of cool destinations in North Adams are Mt. Greylock State Reservation and the Museum of Contemporary Art (which we keep meaning to get to).
The Warwick photo is from a couple of weeks ago. We were at a party at our daughter's house celebrating her and her husband's recent elopement to Las Vegas. Great kids. Nice spot. Life rolls on...
Clarification: In the first paragraph of my previous comment I was referring to the "Famous Hairpin" turn on Route 2 in North Adams as a nice driving destination. "It's" doesn't stand alone very well as a descriptive term.
