No Rest for Rust: Images of Becket's Hudson-Chester Quarry

Abandoned in the 1960s, the rusting remains of machines and materials dot the Hudson-Chester Quarry in Becket, on rescued land maintained for public use by the Becket Land Trust.

For more photos and information on this valuable and historic regional resource, visit the EWM post, The Historic Hudson-Chester Granite Quarry in Becket, Massachusetts.

Great! We recently went back to the Keystone Arches but this time with spinner rods! We caught no trout but it was fun to sit and cast under the bridges.

That is a beautiful stretch of river. One of those spots that when you get to it, if you don't have a fishing pole with you, you sure wish you did.

If you haven't been to the old Hudson-Chester Quarry, Bob, you should definitely go check it out. It's right up your alley with the old vehicles and all!
