So cool. As a kid, poring over those gas station maps to pass the time on long drives is at least partly responsible for my present wanderlust.

Yes, me too, Tony. I've always loved maps as a kid (still do) and couldn't wait to grow up and visit those places on my own.

also, it looks like route 9 used to be called route 109...

Absent also is Route 202, which was built to skirt the western edge of the Quabbin watershed.
